The Cornell Latino Alumni Association (CLAA) was founded in 1994 with the mission of representing and promoting the needs and interests of all Latino alumni as they exist at Cornell University and beyond. By definition, CLAA’s constituency is broad and encompasses Cornell University’s Latino American, Latino Caribbean, Latin American, and Latino European alumni, which collectively comprise about 15% of the total alumni population.

What is Local Alumni Association?

Local Alumni Associations (LAA), or organized local groups of alumni, are recognized by the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. LAAs may be based on a city, chapter, district, or geographic region.

All members of an LAA must be members in good standing with the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. All LAA members must pay TBSAA dues at the LAA Access membership level ($15) or higher. In joint LAAs with alumni members of Kappa Kappa Psi, at least two of the joint LAA’s officers must be TBSAA members.
