What is Army Civilian Personnel Alumni Association?

ACPAA was founded during World War II as the Office of the Secretary of War, Civilian Personnel Division Alumni Association.  Bill Kushnick, John Macy, Chuck Mullaly Walt Jacobson, and Bob Willey were the founders. 

In 1967, the William H. Kushnick award was established, and the group began to have banquets to recognize the contributions of outstanding individuals in our field.  In the late 70’s, the name was changed to the Army Civilian Personnel Alumni Association.  Later, the John Macy and Nick Hogue awards were added.  We continue this tradition today, with this year’s Kushnick Banquet scheduled for June 9th at the Officers’ Club at Fort Belvoir Virginia.
