What is Addict With A Pen?

I've been listening to this song for about an hour now, reading over the lyrics many a times, and I am wondering what the actual meaning of this song is. I have my own meaning, as the interpretation could be different for many. Here is my meaning: Water being the symbol of God, he expresses his thoughts to how much he struggles with only God at his side. But no matter how much he goes on, and no matter how much he proceeds with God at his side, his only remorse is the fact that he struggles to keep going forward. He wants it all to end. Bringing it to a new stance with including the wind blowing him away, I am thinking that means that his struggles and lyrics come deeply with him, because all that he has left is a paper and pen. I could be completely off with the meaning, but this is what I have been able to come up with through the hour long session. I just want to know other people's interpretation of the song. Please.
