After the signing of the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women and the granting of equal rights in the Afghan Constitution the government developed this 10 year Action Plan to Support womens empowerment. The Action Plan covers the areas of security, governance, rule of law and human rights, as well as economic and social development.
