What is Be Nice, Be Respectful?

It is censorship, pure and simple.

No humor, no sarcasm, no hyperbole—because rhetorical devices are mean.

No incisive prose with biting wit, because wit is scary and difficult to parse for those with lower literacy skills.

No attacking of an IDEA because ideas are people, too! And fuzzy snowfolk who believe in certain ideas seem to be literally murdered if someone attacks an IDEA they hold dear.

I can say that I have never been mean to a person. However, there are definitely times when I am not nice or kind to an idea that needs a bit of witty ridicule.

So I do get my answers collapsed for not being nice. But I do not say mean things about other people, I only dismantle ideas. That gets collapsed for being mean. Not sure who I am being mean to.
